NewsIn 2011 Hector visited the Chelsea Football Club with the objective of developing official ties with the Bondi Football Academy. Through his association with Neil Bath, Chief of Chelsea Football Academy Hector spent time with the youth Academy to showcase the Argentinean style of Football. He was given the opportunity as well to coach the U9 players in the Academy over a week working on the U9 ball skills and using Freedom of Expression not often found in the English style of Football. He received overwhelming enthusiasm and engagement from the players and parents at having a rare opportunity to experience firsthand the flair & creativity which is the hallmark of South American Football. Prior to a match at Chelsea Hector received an standing ovation which was the greatest compliment the Club could show.
On this trip Hector was also accompanied by three upcoming Bondi Football Academy protégé’s Nick Manduca – Alexander Daoud and Francois Sayegh. They spent time in England and Italy where they were identified as having good potential in Europe. All Three Players have been asked to participate in ongoing programs in 2012. Watch this space! This year Hector’s aim is to commence player trials to develop an U11, U14 & U16 team for a return trip to England. He is expecting to achieve connections with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea.
